Layered Turkey Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. torn iceberg lettuce
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed and drained
    1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
    1 large stalk celery, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    2 c. coarsely chopped cooked turkey
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. (6 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese
    8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Preparation
    Layer first 7 ingredients in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.
    Combine mayonnaise and sugar; spread over turkey.
    Sprinkle with cheese and bacon.
    Cover and chill.
