Oatmeal Caramelitas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    32 light candy caramels or 3/4 c. caramel topping and 3 Tbsp. flour
    5 Tbsp. light cream or evaporated milk
    1 c. flour
    1 c. rolled oats
    3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. melted butter
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt caramels and cream in double boiler.
    Cool slightly. Combine in bowl the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, soda, salt and butter.
    Press half of mixture into 12 x 7-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
    Spread caramel mixture on top.
    Add rest of mixture and bake 20 minutes. Chill 1 to 2 hours.
    Cut into bars.
