1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. water
3 c. Quaker oats, uncooked
1/2 tsp. baking soda
