Chow-Chow - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 1/2 lb. green tomatoes
    8 large onions
    10 sweet green peppers (bell)
    3 Tbsp. salt
    6 small hot peppers, chopped
    2 tsp. turmeric
    4 c. vinegar
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. dry mustard (optional)
    3 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Chop tomatoes, onions and green peppers and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons salt.
    Let stand 5 hours in cool place.
    Drain well.
