Cream Custard For Fruit - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. evaporated skim milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. dark rum
Preparation

Combine brown sugar and milk in heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat until mixture is hot.
Gradually stir about 1/4 of the hot mixture into the beaten egg.
Add remaining hot mixture, stirring constantly.
Cook until mixture thickens, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and dark rum. Cover and chill.
When ready to serve, stir with a wire whisk and spoon over fruit.
Serves 4.
