Microwave Summer Squash Toss - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. yellow squash
    1 lb. zucchini
    1 (2 oz.) jar chopped pimentos, drained
    2 Tbsp. water
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. dried basil
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Cut squash and zucchini into 1/2-inch pieces.
    Place in glass casserole dish.
    Add pimentos, water, salt, pepper, basil and garlic powder.
    Dot with butter.
    Cover dish.
    Cook in microwave on High for 9 to 10 minutes, stirring twice.
    Let stand covered for 3 minutes.
    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
