Walnut Crescents - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or oleo, softened
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. finely chopped walnuts
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
Preparation
    In large bowl, cream butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt until fluffy.
    Stir in flour and walnuts until well blended. Cover and chill 30 minutes or until firm enough to handle.
    Break off small piece of dough and on lightly floured surface, roll into finger-thick strips.
    Cut in 2-inch lengths.
    Taper ends, shape in crescents.
    Place 1-inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven 18 to 20 minutes or until firm to the touch. While warm, roll in granulated sugar.
    Cool on rack.
    Store in airtight container in cool place.
