Blackberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour (1 1/2 regular and 1 1/2 cake flour)
    3 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. strained berries
    1 c. Crisco or butter
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3 tsp. cocoa
Preparation
    Cream sugar and Crisco.
    Add eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients; add to first mixture, alternating with milk.
    Add berries and vanilla. Bake in 3 (9-inch) layer pans at 325\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with chocolate frosting.
