Golden Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) carton sour cream
    1 tsp. salt
    6 medium potatoes, cooked, peeled and coarsely shredded
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Combine cheese and butter in a saucepan.
    Stir over low heat until cheese is melted.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in sour cream, onion, salt and pepper.
    Add potatoes, mixing gently.
    Pour into a buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
    Dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Makes 8 to 10 servings.
