Meatballs And Potatoes In A Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2/3 c. evaporated milk
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 c. shortening
    4 c. thinly sliced raw potatoes (5 large)
    2 medium onions, sliced
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Thoroughly mix ground beef, soft bread crumbs, 1 chopped onion, 1 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper and milk. Lightly shape meat mixture into 12 balls. Roll each ball in flour to coat well. In large, deep frying pan, melt shortening and brown the meatballs on all sides. Add sliced potatoes, sliced onions, boiling water, 2 teaspoons salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cover and cook over medium heat about 20 to 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. May need to add a little more water. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
