Dick'S Apple Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. prepared pie dough
    8 medium apples, peeled, cored and halved
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    1 c. butter or margarine, melted
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Preparation
    Cut each pie dough into 4 pieces (16) and wrap each piece around an apple half; place seam side down into greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Combine sugar, water, butter and vanilla; pour into the pan.
    Sprinkle cinnamon over the dumplings.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown and apples are tender.
    Serve immediately.
