Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. soft shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk
2 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. oatmeal (I use quick cooking)
1 c. chocolate chips

Preparation

Put soft shortening, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk in bowl.
Mix well.
Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
Add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well.
Add oatmeal and mix.
Lastly stir in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
Bake in 375\u00b0 oven. Watch closely to prevent burning.
