Whiskey Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten separately
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    5 oz. whiskey
    4 c. pecans
    1 c. flour
    2 c. walnuts
    1 lb. dates
    1/2 lb. candied pineapple
    1/2 lb. candied cherries
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all dry ingredients.
    Beat egg yolks well, then add sugar. Gradually add whiskey to eggs, then add
    this
    to
    dry ingredients
    and
    mix.
    Fold in egg whites
    which
    have
    been beaten.
    Bake 1 hour in 300\u00b0 oven in 2 loaf
    pans (5 x 9-inch) which have been greased and lined with wax paper.
