Applesauce Spice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. applesauce
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Cream together shortening, sugar and egg.
Add applesauce. Then add flour, nutmeg, allspice, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
Add chopped nuts.
Blend well.
Bake in greased and floured loaf pan at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 60 minutes.
