Pecan Tarts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. flour, sifted
    3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2/3 c. coarsely broken pecans
    1 egg
Preparation
    Cheese Pastry:
    Let cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter soften at room temperature.
    Blend with flour, then chill about 1 hour. Shape into 2 dozen 1-inch balls.
    Place in tiny ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin tins.
    Press dough on bottom and sides of tins.
