Bacon Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 slices bacon
1 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/2 cups. all purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup buttermilk
vegetable oil

Preparation

Fry bacon crisp.
Remove bacon (save 2 tablespoons bacon drippings in skillet); drain bacon and crumble.
Set bacon and drippings aside.
