Ingredients

25 large clams
4 slices salt pork (2 1/2-inch square and 1/4-inch thick)
2 large onions
5 c. diced potatoes
Preparation

Drain clams; chop.
Do not run through grinder, that bruises them.
Do not add clam juice; it makes too strong a clam taste.
