Miracle Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick margarine
    1 large can fruit (peaches, apples, apricots)
Preparation
    Melt 1 stick margarine in a 9 x 9-inch dish, allowing it to cover bottom and grease sides of dish.
    Prepare batter of sugar, flour, milk, powder and vanilla.
    Sprinkle salt.
    Pour batter into buttered dish.
    Over the batter, spread 1 can of fruit.
    While preparing, bring to a boil:
    1 cup fruit liquid, 1/4 to 1 cup sugar (according to how tart fruit is), 2 tablespoons of butter.
    Pour this over top of fruit in dish.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
