Kathy'S Pudding(Club Member: Kristi Mayfield) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
    2 c. milk
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 pt. strawberries
Preparation
    Combine in saucepan and cook over medium heat until it bubbles and thickens. Stir constantly. Spoon small amounts of hot mixture into egg and stir. Add egg to pudding. Cook 2 more minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and butter. Blend well. Line a bowl with vanilla wafers. Pour 1/2 pudding and spoon in 1 cup sliced drained strawberries. Put on another layer of wafers. Pour on pudding. Spoon in remaining strawberries. Add juice if desired.
