Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch or flour
    2 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans or coconut
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks; add sugar, cornstarch and milk.
    Cook in heavy pan over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick; add vanilla. Cool.
    Add nuts, reserving a few for top.
    When cool enough to spread, fill and frost cake.
