Corn Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 doz. corn ears
    1 small cabbage, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    1/4 tsp. cayenne
    1 bunch celery, chopped
    4 onions, sliced thin
    2 qt. vinegar
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. mustard
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Cut corn from cob.
    Chop vegetables.
    Put in kettle and pour half of vinegar over mixture.
    Mix sugar, flour, salt, mustard, cayenne and turmeric; add the remaining vinegar.
    Combine mixtures and bring to boiling point.
    Simmer 40 minutes.
    Makes 4 to 6 pints.
