My Best Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. molasses
1 c. hot water
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together and add egg.
Combine molasses with hot water.
Add dry ingredients to butter and sugar mixture alternately with small amounts of liquid mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Bake in wax paper lined 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
Double for long loaf pan.
