Sausage Fettuccine - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. uncooked fettuccine
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 lb. smoked sausage, cut diagonally into 1/4-inch slices
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. heavy cream or half and half
    1 c. grated Parmesan
    1/2 c. fresh parsley
Preparation
    Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain.
    Melt butter in a large skillet. Saute mushrooms and garlic until mushrooms are soft. Remove from skillet.
    In the same skillet, heat sausage over medium heat until lightly browned. Drain excess drippings. Add mushrooms and garlic back to the skillet. In a small bowl, combine eggs and cream.
    Add to skillet mixture and heat just until cream mixture is hot (do not boil). Add cooked fettuccine, tossing gently.
    Mix in cheese and parsley and serve.
