Baking Powder Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. plain flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    5 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Sift flour.
    Measure into bowl.
    Add baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like coarse meal. Add milk. Stir until soft dough is formed. Turn onto floured board and knead 30 seconds to shape (about 20 kneading turns).
    Pat dough 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut biscuits with 2-inch floured cutter.
    Bake on ungreased baking sheet in a 450\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Makes 14 biscuits.
