Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. oatmeal
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1 c. white sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Soak oatmeal in boiling water.
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    While oatmeal cools, cream butter and sugars.
    Beat in eggs, vanilla and oatmeal.
    Mix flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl and add to mixture.
    Pour into 9 x 13 cake pan.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
