Madelyn'S Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 beaten egg yolks
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 stiffly beaten egg whites
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. orange juice
1/2 c. lemon juice
grated rind of both orange and lemon
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar;
add
egg
yolks
and
beat well. Add sifted dry
ingredients
alternately with juice and rind. Fold in beaten egg whites.\tBake
at 350\u00b0 in two 8-inch round cake pans.
