Dark Fruit Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. raisins
1 pt. pear preserves
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. syrup
1 qt. pecans
2 pt. fig preserves
1 can crushed pineapple
2 c. flour
1 glass pineapple juice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. cocoa
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs beaten separately, yolks first.
Add flour with baking powder sifted through it.
Mix soda with syrup.
Add spices.
Add fruits, nuts and raisins that have been rolled in extra flour.
Add pineapple juice along as needed to help in mixing and make cake moist.
Put in large pan and bake at low temperature until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
