Dixie Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pint chopped sweet red pepper
    1 pint chopped sweet green pepper
    1 qt. chopped cabbage
    1 pint chopped onions
    2 hot peppers
    5 Tbsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
Preparation
    Mix vegetables together; cover with salt and let stand overnight.
    Drain, then add spices, sugar and vinegar.
    Pack into sterilized pint jars to within 1/2 inch of top.
    Put on cap, screw band tight.
    Process in boiling water for 10 minutes.
    Yields 5 pints.
