Pear Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. pears, peeled and sliced
    4 c. water
    4 c. sugar
    2 lemons, sliced thin
Preparation
    Boil 2 cups sugar and 2 cups water for 15 minutes.
    Add pears and sliced lemon.
    Cook 15 more minutes.
    Add remaining sugar and water.
    Cook until pears are clear and thick.
