Oregano Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 stick oleo
    1 c. raw rice
    1 c. beef consomme
    3/4 c. water
    1 level tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. red pepper
    1 tsp. oregano
Preparation
    Cook onion and raw rice in the oleo over a medium flame for 5 minutes (do not brown).
    Add all other ingredients.
    Pour into a casserole; cover tightly and bake for 45 minutes to an hour at 350\u00b0.
    Serve with ham, fried chicken or steak.
