Never Fail Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3 c. plain flour
    4 sticks margarine
    8 eggs, separated
    2 tsp. lemon
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream margarine; add sugar and beat until fluffy.
    Add egg yolks only one at a time, beating after each addition.
    Add flour until all is well mixed.
    Beat egg whites until stiff.
    Add to mixture.
    Add lemon and vanilla.
    Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
