cabbage
plain salt or canning salt
boiling water
Preparation

Chop cabbage and pack loosely in sterilized quart jars.
Add 1 tablespoon salt.
Pour boiling water over cabbage, one jar at a time.
Seal at once.
Keep water boiling as you fill each jar and seal.
