Hot Cross Buns - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. scalded milk
1 pkg. yeast
1/4 c. warm water
2 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. mixed candied fruit
1/4 c. currants
Preparation

Add sugar, butter and salt to milk and cool to lukewarm.
Stir in yeast (dissolved in a little water) and 1 egg.
Sift flour and cinnamon together and add to liquid with candied fruit and currants.
Mix well.
Cover and let rise to double.
