Mother'S Old Time Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 c. thick sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Cream shortening.
Add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly. Blend in well beaten egg and molasses.
