Healthy Whole-Grain Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. unbleached white flour
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 well-ripened bananas
    3/4 c. diet margarine
    1 c. water
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1/4 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    3 eggs
    3 1/2 c. rolled oats
    1/2 c. wheat germ
    1/2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    In mixing bowl, combine flours, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; set aside.
    Blend bananas in a blender or food processor. Add margarine and continue to blend.
    Combine water and raisins in a microwave-safe container and heat for 1 1/2 minutes on High. Add raisin mixture, buttermilk and walnuts to bananas and process on High until well blended.
    Pour into a large mixing bowl and add brown sugar and eggs.
    Mix until combined.
    Add dry ingredients, oats, wheat germ and chocolate chips and mix until combined.
    Fill muffin tins 3/4 full and bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 36 muffins.
