Salmon Corn Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. diced celery
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. flour
    3 1/2 c. chicken broth
    2 c. half and half
    1 can creamed corn (17 oz.)
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    1 can pink or red salmon (15 1/2 oz.), drained and flaked
Preparation
    Melt margarine in large, heavy saucepan over medium heat.
    Add onion, celery and garlic.
    Cook 4 to 5 minutes.
    Stir in flour until blended.
    Gradually add 1 cup broth.
    Stir until boiling and thickened.
    Stir in remaining broth, half and half, corn, salt and pepper.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes, but do not boil. Remove from heat.
    Add salmon.
