Chocolate Pie - No Milk - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour (heaping and packed)
    3 Tbsp. cocoa (heaping and packed)
    2 c. water
    1/2 stick butter or margarine
    3 eggs, separated
    dash of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, flour and cocoa; add enough water to make a paste. Heat 2 cups water, egg yolks, butter or margarine and salt until butter melts.
    Add water mixture to cocoa paste and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
    Cool slightly.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Cover with meringue, sealing to the crust's edge.
