English Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. scalded milk
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 Tbsp. fat
    1 pkg. yeast
    1/4 c. lukewarm water
    1 egg
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 c. flour
Preparation
    To scalded milk, add sugar and fat.
    Cool and add package of yeast, dissolved in lukewarm water, and beaten egg.
    Blend in 3 cups sifted flour.
    Knead with 1 cup flour.
    Let double and knead. Rest for 1 minute.
    Roll 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut and let double.
    Cook 8 to 12 plus minutes a side on medium heat on griddle or in frypan. May be frozen.
