Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. 100% bran
    2 c. boiling water
    1 c. Crisco
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    4 c. All-Bran
    4 eggs
    5 c. plain flour
    6 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. salt
    1 qt. buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix 100% bran with boiling water and let stand. Cream the Crisco, sugar and eggs together.
    Sift flour, soda
    and salt together. Add All-Bran to the dry flour mixture. Add buttermilk to this dry mix.
    Mix well.
    Add 100% bran mixture, then add Crisco-sugar mix and stir well. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375\u00b0. Keep batter in refrigerator.
    Will keep several weeks.
    Makes 6 dozen.
