Mint Tea - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 qt. water
    40 to 50 stems tea (peppermint or spearmint)
    3 oz. lemon juice
Preparation
    Add sugar
    to water and tea stems.
    Boil a few minutes; turn off heat
    and
    let\tstand
    10 minutes, then put through a cloth or strainer and squeeze out stems.
    Add lemon and enough water to make a gallon.
    Chill and serve.
