Hot Fudge Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 squares chocolate
    1 large can evaporated milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Melt margarine in top double boiler.
    Drop in chocolate and melt.
    Add sugar, gradually (4 tablespoons at a time).
    Add salt. Add milk, gradually.
    Water in double boiler must keep boiling. Last, add vanilla.
    Cook until desired thickness, about 1 hour and 10 minutes.
    Can be stored in refrigerator as needed.
    Makes 1 quart.
