Cranberry Fruit Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. orange juice
    1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 beaten egg
Preparation
    Sift together the flour, sugar, powder, soda and salt.
    Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse oatmeal.
    Combine orange juice, rind and egg.
    Add to the dry ingredients and mix just to moisten.
    Carefully fold in 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 or 2 cups cranberries.
    (If you use frozen cranberries, put them through the chopper in frozen state.)
