Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. dark Karo syrup
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 to 1 1/2 c. pecans
    1 (9-inch) crust
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar together until fluffy.
    Add salt, syrup, eggs and vanilla.
    Sprinkle pecans on bottom of pie shell. Pour the filling over the pecans.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 minutes. Reduce to 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes longer.
