Seven Minute Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    4 Tbsp. cold water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    few grains salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, salt, sugar and all ingredients in top of double boiler.
    Place over boiling water and beat briskly with rotary or electric mixer until mixture stands in peaks.
    Remove from water and cool for a few minutes.
    Add vanilla and beat until cold.
    If too stiff, add 1 teaspoon of hot water beating briskly.
