Meat Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. beef cubes
1 large waxed turnip
4 large baking potatoes
1 (1 lb.) pkg. carrots
1 small cabbage
1 tsp. parsley
1 tsp. dill weed
salt to taste
6 qt. water
Preparation

In 8-quart pot, put 6 quarts of water.
Wash meat in cold water and add to pot.
Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
Add quartered turnip and simmer 30 minutes.
Add quartered carrots and quartered potatoes.
Quarter cabbage and place on top of everything in the pot.
Cover for 30 minutes.
Serve with muffins or sourdough bread.
