Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 Tbsp. butter
1/3 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, separated
3/4 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. milk, scalded
8-inch pie shell, baked
Preparation

Put milk onto heat (keeping out small amount for later use). Put chocolate in heating milk.
Mix flour, salt and sugar (sift together).
Stir into dry mixture melted butter and egg yolks.
To make batter more workable, add small amount of milk that was held out.
When milk is scalded, pour in batter slowly, stirring until it thickens.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Pour into pie shell.
