Sausage And Egg Casserole(Main Dish For Breakfast Or Brunch) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 - 12 slices bread
1/2 to 1 lb. yellow cheese
1-2 lb. bulk sausage
4-6 eggs
1/2 tsp. mustard
salt and pepper to taste
2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Arrange half of bread in a single layer in bottom of a buttered baking dish.
Crumble and cook sausage in a skillet until lightly browned; drain grease.
Grate cheese.
Sprinkle all sausage and cheese over bottom layer of bread in baking dish.
Top sausage and cheese with another layer of bread slices.
In a bowl, beat eggs, salt, pepper and mustard until blended; add milk.
Pour mixture over bread, filling the dish.
Let sit at least 1 hour at room temperature.
(It can sit overnight or longer in the refrigerator.)
Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees about 30 minutes or until light brown.
Let sit 10 minutes before serving. Amounts can be increased or decreased easily depending on the number of people being fed.
