German Red Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head red cabbage
    1 apple, diced
    2 Tbsp. bay leaf
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1 onion
    cloves
    1/2 c. sugar
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Chop cabbage and fry in butter on low.
    Mix in all other ingredients and simmer 1 hour.
