Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick margarine (do not use low-fat kind)
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. sugar
    5 egg yolks
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 small can Angel Flake coconut
    1 c. chopped nuts
    5 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    Cream Cheese Frosting
Preparation
    Cream together the margarine and shortening.
    Add sugar and mix until smooth. Add soda and flour to creamed mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Cool. Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
