French Cream Cheese Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 egg yolk
    1/4 tsp. vanilla
    1 (18.5 oz.) pkg. yellow or devil's food cake mix
Preparation
    Cream butter and cheese.
    Blend in egg yolk and vanilla.
    Add cake mix (dry), 1/3 at a time.
    Mix well after each addition.
    (If mixer is used, add last 1/3 of mix by hand).
    Cover and chill 30 minutes.
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Drop by level teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown.
    Cool before removing from baking sheet.
    Yields 6 to 8 dozen.
